Content Policy

Last updated: 29 July 2026.

Rolegend narrates dark fantasy without restraint on violence, and no explicit sexual content.

What is in scope

Graphic violence and its aftermath, horror and body-horror, torture, cruelty, moral blackness, trauma, addiction, and the on-screen death of sympathetic characters. A dark fantasy game where the GM flinches is not a dark fantasy game.

What is out of scope

Sexually explicit material. Romance exists in these stories and fades to black.

Why the line sits exactly there

It is drawn by two constraints that have nothing to do with taste, and saying so is more useful than pretending it is a matter of tone.

Neither constraint is affected by where the model runs. Running our own models would remove the model providers' usage policies, which are what currently softens the violent register - it would buy nothing above the sexual-content line.

Age

You must be 18 or over to use this service. Requesting a sign-in link requires you to confirm it, and we ask again every time you sign in.

Nothing you write is published

Rolegend is solo play, and public sharing of worlds and campaigns is off at launch: publishing and cloning another player's world sit behind a platform flag that is off by default and fails closed when it cannot be read. Your campaigns, characters and turns are private to your account.

Your brakes

When the GM declines

The model can still refuse a scene that is inside this policy. The providers apply their own usage policies on top of ours, and when one of them declines mid-scene the GM says so in its own voice and hands the scene back to you, rather than showing you an error. We count how often that happens.
